Terms of Service
Last updated: 21 July 2026 · Draft prepared for review by qualified legal counsel before publication.
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
Digital Startup India ("DSI", "we") operates digitalstartupindia.in — a platform where businesses create listings, members ask and answer questions, publish content, and, where enabled, register for events, apply to jobs, take courses, express funding interest, and buy or sell products. These terms are a binding agreement between you and DSI. By creating an account or using the platform you accept them.
2. Accounts and eligibility
You must be 18 or older and provide accurate information. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping credentials secure. We may suspend or ban accounts for violations of these terms, including through our moderation processes.
3. Your content
You retain ownership of listings, posts, answers, articles, reviews, course materials and other content you submit. You grant DSI a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, and distribute that content on the platform and in platform communications (for example, the weekly digest). You warrant that your content does not infringe others' rights and complies with applicable law. Content reported by the community may be automatically hidden pending moderator review; moderators may remove content or restore it at their discretion.
4. Marketplace terms
DSI is an intermediary connecting buyers with independent seller businesses. Each product is sold by the vendor named on the product page, who is solely responsible for product quality, legality, accuracy of description, GST compliance on their sales, shipping, and after-sales service. Payment is collected by DSI's payment partner and settled to vendors net of platform commission. Title and risk pass from vendor to buyer; DSI is not the seller of record.
5. Events, courses and jobs
Events are organised by their listed organisers, courses are created by their listed instructors, and job posts are made by the hiring businesses — each is responsible for the accuracy and delivery of what they offer. DSI provides the venue, not the promise.
6. Funding Hub disclaimer
The Funding Hub is a discovery and introduction layer only. DSI is not a stock exchange, investment adviser, merchant banker, or fundraising intermediary registered with SEBI, and no investment transaction occurs on the platform. Any investment discussion, diligence, or transaction happens directly between the parties, off-platform, at their own risk. Nothing on DSI is investment advice.
7. Paid services
Paid listing tiers, verification, event tickets, paid courses and marketplace purchases are billed in INR inclusive of applicable GST, with a tax invoice issued for each payment. Refunds are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
8. Prohibited conduct
No unlawful, deceptive, infringing, obscene or hateful content; no spam or scraping; no impersonation; no attempts to bypass security, rate limits, or moderation; no listing of prohibited or regulated goods without lawful authority.
9. Liability
The platform is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, DSI's aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid to DSI in the six months preceding the claim. DSI is not liable for the acts or omissions of vendors, organisers, instructors, employers, investors or other members.
10. Termination, changes, governing law
You may delete your account at any time. We may modify these terms with notice; continued use after notice is acceptance. These terms are governed by the laws of India; courts at [CITY — to be confirmed by counsel] have exclusive jurisdiction. Grievances: see Contact & Grievances.
